    To open the slimline PS2 you will need a exato knife or regular knife. First take the knife an cut the warrenty seal in the rear of the PS2, next remove all the pads on the bottom of the PS2, the two rubber front pads cannot be removed. Get a medium size philips srew driver and remove the screws. Once all screws are removed the cover will lift up from the side where the consle stand gets srewed into, then the cover snaps off with a clip. A bit of advice, when putting it back together try coating the screws in a lube. They will screw into place easier.
