Zzzzzz. Wrong answer, but thank you for playing.
Fielding Yost, coaching the University of Michigan, went undefeated for a streak of 56 games from 1901-1905. Yost's career coaching record was 165-29-10 for a winning percentage of .833 overall. In 1901, the UM football team outscored its opponents 550-0, including a 49-0 victory over Stanford University in the first Rose Bowl game (January 1, 1902). The University of Chicago broke the streak on November 30, 1905, defeating Michigan 2-0 in their last regular season game of the 1905 season. (The 2nd Rose Bowl was playing in 1916, so there was no post season game for the Wolverines that year.)
Unfortunately, there is one Division 1A winning streak longer than this amazing feat, but I can't recall what it was right now and don't have time to look it up. Trying Googling it.
