Question

Help answer this question below.

Which sort of TV shows is the funniest? British or American?

With the exception of a few shows (Scrubs, Frasier and Becker) I find US TV comedy quite insipid and trite. It's probably a personal taste thing.

British people have a bazaar sense of humor. I didn't mean that negatively at though. I thought "The Young Ones", and "The British Comic Strip" were great. Yet, these are years old, I just remember watching them in high school.

Well, as an American, I'm not crazy about our shows either. I find that The Office is the only show worth watching that's on now, which you probably don't find surprising as its based upon the British version.

But I cannot understand the English accent. I always have to put the closed captions on when I watch anything British. If I could understand more I'd probably watch more British comedy. The only shows I've seen are The Office and Monty Python, both of which I enjoy.

I love both. There was one show the Thin Blue Line (sorry if I got the name wrong)that was hilarious! There was also a show that was like Sex in the City, but British style and much funnier. I also like Scrubs and the Office. I just like to laugh if I can.
