Sometimes, for a while, when you are very young. I would not recommend it as a lifetime plan, though.

Sure. I get down-rated all the time, for even the most innocent of questions and answers. I figure it's the drive-by's problem, not mine. Screw them! I've been a politically conservative individual for 45 years -- being a hated outcast can be fun. ;-)

well in general - not particularly. but on AB you can make awful answers and people will DR you and flag you and nothing they can do hurts and you can ask unspeakable questions and like as not get ridiculous numbers of points So as far as being an outcast - it's so close to being a celebrity it's really hard to tell

well im definatly an outcast but im not hated...by everyone. they just think normal is the way to go. wich is really stupid cuz out of it stuff is so much more interesting

Yeah, Loads! And where better to build a reputation for that than in an on-line forum where people give advice without knowing anything about it, ask stupid questions, get stupid answers they think are great, and DR a good question just because you feel like it? Great to be hated. Hehehehee
