    I have no exact number for you, but I know they have found hundreds of natural satellites orbiting stars in galaxies very far away. The knowledge of how to use different light waves more and more effectively allows us to create more and more advanced telescopes which allow us to see farther and clearer than ever before. Even in our own solar system, they have found so many satellites even larger than Pluto that they had to disregard it as a planet.
