  • WoW, GW, EQ2, EQ1, COV, COH... could be anything, all opinions.
  • Legend of Zelda on SNES?
  • Faery Tale Adventure for the Amiga PC .. it takes 9 months for an average gamer to solve it.. it took me 6 months.. amazing game..

  • My thoughts? For digital RPGs, Disgaea 2 (PS2) is way up there from a gameplay point of view but the storyline is a little thin and lacking. As for storyline... there are so many great ones that it's hard to begin to choose just one. Add in that I don't own every console ever made, In the realm of P&P RPGs, my vote goes to GURPS 4E. It allows for ANY character in ANY world that the GM allows while actually having a rigid enough framework to be considered a workable set of rules. Additionally, some of the worldbooks available are just awesome and there are enough non-world-specific examples to give you great ideas on how to design your own campaign and guidelines to help you bring that idea to life.
  • The best is the original: Dungeons & Dragons! My geekdom is old school.

  • Here's a run-down. Sprite-Based: Chrono Trigger (time-travelling, world-saving!) Final Fantasy 3 (absolutely classic, awesome characters) EarthBound (uncanny!) Post-Sprite CGI-era: Final Fantasy Tactics (who thought turn-based strategy-RPG hybrids would be so great?) Final Fantasy 7 (great story, great mechanics) Lunar: Silver Star Story (anime-based, really just fun) Xenogears (absolutely epic, and interesting battle-mechanics) Recently: Valkyrie Profile (a Valhalla Knight who devours souls to build a heavenly army.. AWESOME premise)
