Unicorns are 'ok'. Dragons are big creatures that eat meat. sounds a wee bit unsafe to me. Even without the fire breathing ability they would still be able to do a lot of damage. Currently with our understanding of genetics we should not be modifying ANY genes in ANYTHING and releasing it into the wild. We have 'recently' discovered that each gene serves more than one purpose - and most often we do not know what the other purpose is. So it may be possible that the first generation of unicorn are pretty white horses with horns - their offspring however become something out of Cloverfield: http://www.beyondhollywood.com/the-cloverfield-monster-revealed/
