Do you think that people with tall and slender body types are from a rich or wealthy ancestry? As opposed to shorter and stockier people.
Actually, long ago it was a bit of a status symbol to be a bit heavier. This was a sign of plentiful food, and no need to really work.

What is the best way of tackling bullies?
I am in no way condoning violence. If you can use your wit, and not your fists. Regardless of how you do it though, always stand up for yourself. If he learns that everytime he picks on you, there will be a challenge, whether physical, mental or otherwise, he will eventually decide you aren't worth the hassle, and move on...good luck.

Not necessarily as damaging, but certainly as ignorant. Look beyond race/ethnicity, each person is different, and the differences are not based on race.

Do you think the government invaded Iraq for the right reasons, or was there an alterior motive (oil?) other than weapons of mass destruction?
The only reason WAS oil, they say they went to liberate, how about all the other oppressed people of the world that we turn a blind eye to. For some reason...we just happen to choose Iraq to liberate. It was said that they were a threat, why have we ignored North Korea. With any reason Bush supporters give, there is another example of that very situation being ignored elsewhere in the world....

I believe in second chances, but I don't give them to a person who has cheated on me. It doesn't matter if they never do it again, in the back of my head they will never be as trusted as before, it is a seed that will always be there, so I don't deal with it anymore. You cheat on me, you're gone. Sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it is the truth...

I think the meaning of all Christian based holidays has been lost in a sea of commercialism and materialism. I am not deeply religious, rather relaxed about it, we don't do much for Easter, maybe trade a piece of candy or something, nothing special.

To try and avoid the medications involved, I used to be pretty bad about stuff like this, it got so bad it started affecting my sleep patterns, I have since started some light zen meditation which helps quite a bit, keep in mind you do not have to abandon your current religious system to follow these teachings and attempt a meditative state.

Do you think Wal-Mart is to blame for the loss of all the mom and pop stores? Or what do you think has happened to them? Is Wal-Mart good for our economy?
Yes, I do, they are sort of a double edged sword. On the one hand they offer low prices, but these drive the smaller business out, while the majority of their products are made over seas, which sends much of the money spent to companies over seas. At the same time, their are a huge number of people who cannot afford the the extra money needed at a smaller store. The store does provide jobs,...

That would have to be "slow motion" the unedited version. They came out with it on cd, but the released version has all the meaning of the song taken out. I think it is ridiculous to ask for points, this makes a joke of the entire point system. I think so very strongly. I have been in a couple depressions, and exercise makes me feel better instantly, and it is long lasting if you stick with it. A little toothpaste on the trouble spots over night might help, it dries out the skin a little and if it doesn't completely get rid of them, it shrinks them and reduces redness. I know it sounds weird, but it works.

You never work out a sore muscle, sounds like you are new or "catching back up" with lift schedule. Start out relatively light, maybe once a week for each muscle. Looks only get your "foot in the door," it is a good personality that will seperate a girl I date seriously and one that I am just hanging out with, having fun. I have dated the reall good looking girls before, with no personality and it gets old real fast, and eventually all beauty fades anyway, so you might as well start out with someone you can enjoy with or without good looks.

if that is the case, then the cause of our own global warming may not be us at all, but simply the sun heating up!! do you agree?
This is not surprising, because it is leading theory that the heating of the earth is in fact a natural phenomenon, cyclical. Why is Sarah Silverman funny, but her new show not funny?
The Chapelle show has officially ruined all stand up comedian's shows forever. He was awesome, cutting edge, spoke the truth and made it funny. All the "replacements" try and to is be edgy and offensive in hopes of shocking you so much that you will be entertained, they try way too hard and it becomes very pathetic and transparent.

A couple times, first being a car wreck which I would have not survived without the seat belt, and a scarier one when I was working on my truck, I had it jacked up with the tire off, and I was under the front axle with all the weight of the engine, just seconds before the jack gave way and collapsed, it would have crushed my chest.

I agree with the learn the language part, but if you don't want to, I see no reason to leave, it would be much more difficult to live in a country without speaking the local language, but that would be your problem, not mine, so I see no reason to kick them out for that reason alone.

This thinking stems from an all too common state of mind about relationships, especially the new ones to the game. First of all, you absoulutely can't control anyone, and shouldn't want to, why would you want to date a door mat...pretty boring. Secondly, to address the insecurity problem, a person may or may not cheat on you, it is a total waste of time to worry about it, if they...

The easiest, and often best way to invent a character with depth, is to not really invent them, base them off of real people or a compilation of people, that gives some realism to the character and gives you a template to fall back on...good luck

of course society exploits women more than men, as for why, see perryman's answer, I agree with it all except the cheap labor part. Also I feel it dates back to more primitive times when there was less society and more tribes...naturally the "leader" will be the strongest which is usually a trait of the male gender, and this has become somewhat instinctual.

YEA, mountain bikers are jerks! :) no, really though, I believe there are far more good people in the world than bad...and the the bad people, I believe there is more good in them than bad, everyone has their issues and while this isn't an excuse, maybe it will help shed a more positive light on others.
Answer to:
What is the best sport in the world?
MMA or Mixed Martial Arts...to be more precise the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I like all the leagues, but UFC is by far my favorite. I know a lot of people feel it is a little barbaric, but I truly enjoy the competition and technique involved. I have never been much of a sports watcher, but I LOVE the UFC. I think those guys are at the top of the athletic food chain.

no, I am actually doing pretty well, this time last year, I was planning on hating myself for a very long time, trapped in self pity and to be frank, I figured I would have developed a rather nasty drug habit by now...I happy to report I am feeling much better, as well as looking a little better, now to just lose the weight from all the crappy junk food...it's just food not love :)

What's the point of slacking off at work - working slowly, half-heartedly, incompetently... if you can't be off having fun and doing what you want to do, then why not just work hard while you're there anyway?
I have seen this, and even thought about the motives about it...(maybe participated a time or two, shhh) anyway, I think a lot of people will do it who are unhappy with their job and unhappy with their boss or bosses, and this is an attempt at getting them back. Bringing the system down from the inside :)

How much credit can you give a man when they tell you that they really really like you? Do guys just throw this kind of information around or is it difficult for men to outright say these things?
It really depends on the man, the best piece of advice I can give you, with any guy, is to judge him on his actions, not his words.

I think you are correct in checking with him first on the matter, especially since you don't for sure know how serious she is, find out, and ask him, and if he says it is ok whether you think he is being truthful or not, go for it, it is his deal if he doesn't speak up on the matter.

Would you rather be stinking rich and miss out on the true meaning of life, or be dirt poor in a hunger striken country but be so close to your family and country that you appreciate your life that much more?
I would rather be poor, if you look at studies, suicide is actually higher with the rich than the poor, strange stat.

ok number one, you say she is hot, and I would like to tell you hot girls are not worth it if your personalities don't match and two, I wouldn't do anything to change myself to make someone like me more, because I promise you that you will grow tired of being someone you are not and it would all be a big waste of time if you two don't match up once she finds that you two do not...

Do you think much of what you do around your baby will shape their personality for life?
I think you absorb a ton more in the first few years than many believe, as do the majority of psychologists. When the child protective services found her, she was very malnourished and digging through trash cans looking for food. To this day,...

until you get up to the amount that will make you sore the next day, it really is a waste of time, resting a day is a good idea, but I seriously doubt 1, 2 or even 10 will make you sore. They are allowed to respond with equal force to the threat, a knife is a life threatening weapon, I say it is completely justified, not to mention they risk their lives everyday...I would understand being VERY protective of their own life.

I would say it is a bit of a trade off really, you are actually treated like an adult but at the same time, you are expected to act like an adult. I think that mine is absolutely hilarious, I really couldn't care less if someone doesn't find me funny, I make myself laugh...a lot, so an avatar of David Hasselhoff is funny...especially one of him in his Knight Rider days giving a big sarcastic thumbs up. I haven't changed because I haven't found one that makes me laugh more than this.

In a way I do, but in a different way than most, you see if a person cheats on me, they may never do it again, and even if I forgive them, there will always be the thought in the back of my head that they did in fact cheat, so yes, I believe in it, but more from the perspective of the one cheated on than the one doing the cheating.

although weight lifting before puberty can cause pretty serious damage, new studies have shown that you can lift at any age, just don't go weight crazy, focus on more reps with very little weight until you hit puberty. This will give your body time to adjust as well as help you with your technique for later when you can lift more weight.

What is the origin of the phrase "mind your P's and Q's"?
I was told once it was from people involved in old printing shops using the printing press, which involved setting up pages at a time with each letter in block form ordered to press the type onto paper, this was especially difficult considering it had to be backwards on the actual press. So, of course, people often got their p's and q's mixed up, it became a phrase of caution among...

What do you think about putting another person's (a person who has wronged you) karma into your own hands? What are your experiences with this?
That goes against the entire concept of Karma, this being that who ever has wronged you will eventually pay for it. It is out of your hands and you should not pursue revenge yourself. Everything has balance and the more bad this person does through out thier life, the more bad will be done to him/her.

I wouldn't believe in anything (of this nature) without witnessing it first hand, I don't think you can convince a skeptic of the paranormal without hard evidence which, as funny as it is, quite hard to come by. I think it all boils down to personal experiences.

Is martial arts really all about beating people up, or is gaining inner peace its primary purpose?
I used to have a terrile temper and would fight an army at the drop of a hat. Martial arts has taught me what is worth figting for and what is not. I have gained a tremendous respect for others because of it and hope to never get in a fight again. If anything, I have learned there are a lot of dangerous people out there that don't look it. The origin of swear words varies, from word to word. The ones considered cuss words now are part of what was considered a lower form of German. Another I know about (for sure) is the origin of the f word which was used by kings centuries ago....

It is of course best to have an instructor for questions but I would say your best bet is a book, but make sure you have a traing partner, they don't necessarily need to be an expert, but you need a live body to train with. Another rising trend is internet instruction which seems to be catching on rather quickly, I have never used this method but you can usually pick up a basic...

Depends on your workout goals and when you are working out. If you are trying to lose weight and you are working out in the evening (which I don't suggest, it will keep you up)avoid carbs, but if it is earlier in the day there is no problem with taking in "healthy carbs," whole grains, sugars from fruit and so on. Healthy carbs provide energy for the body, and if you are trying...

What do you think of inter racial dating? I'm a black chic, he's a white guy. He wants a date, I have never dated a guy out of my race.
I have taken sociology classes on race and ethnic studies for what seems like an eternity (college burnout) but a lot of the studies done show, with any racism aside, that people just naturally prefer company with similar individuals whether that be religious, race or class differences. So it really boils down to how comfortable you are with him and his family, and vica versa

If there was an age you could pick and stay that age forever how old would you want to be?
I would have to pick high school right after I had my own car. Your just old enough to know how much you can get a way with and at the same time just young enough to get away with it. :)

If given a choice would you choose to live where there are hurricanes, or in areas with tornadoes, and why do you choose what you did?

What do you think of George W. Bush?
I think the only smart thing he's done is make Cheney his vice president, that will be the only thing saving him from impeachment. No one wants to see Cheney take over, what a scary thought.
I'm really getting tired of people down rating opinions

My g/f cheated on me with another girl(kiss on lips). I found out. During the 2 weeks after she cheated b4 i found out, she told her that she loved her. We worked it out, but last 4 months afterwards is hard trusting and dealing w/pain. What should i do?
If there is even a slight bit of doubt in a relationship, it will never work out. The only way I see avoiding the releationship failing is if she is able to put up with the obvious and numerous questions of mistrust afterwards becaue you will never completely trust her. you will want to question her down about all the time she spends away from you which will get old from her perspective....
