Here's my scenario:
I take my normally outspoken friend to a formal dance at my school (we go to different schools). She seems thrilled beforehand, but distant and completely not herself the entire night of the dance. It is uncomfortable.
What was up?

Will you share a serious poem on Answerbag that you've written?
True story. One rainy day in December a few years back, I saw a black panther (cougar/mountain lion) walking in my pasture. It was very scary & exciting. Panthers are not at all common around here. About a week later, there was a story in the paper about a panther attacking & killing a dog that was riding in the back of a pickup truck - as the truck was travelling down the highway!...

Has Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream been realized in America yet?
In my experience, we have at least made giant steps toward it. I say this because I do not know anyone who would not vote for --say, Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice or Alberto Gonzales-- just because of their race. Not One Single Person. & I know a lot of people. I doubt that anyone could have said that in 1968.

I'll choose books because I forget the details of a book about 6 weeks after reading it anyway & so I could read them over & over.

Where are all these people finding so many unidentified pills they ask about on AB? Put all these togather and we have an AB pharmacy!
maybe they're not "finding" them at all but buying them on the street in little unmarked zip lock baggies & then getting curious about what it is they're taking after their hair starts falling out! ;)
maybe it will help if we post this website: http://www.drugs.com/pill_identification.html
they're experts. they'll know what pill it is & they even...

Why is pop singer Madonna considered to be sexy even though she is clearly unattractive?
Jackie Gleason said it best: "If you have it and you know you have it, then you have it. If you have it and don’t know you have it, you don’t have it. If you don’t have it but you think you have it, then you have it."

Would majoring in psychology be better than majoring in history if you want to become a lawyer?
between those 2, i'd say psychology would be better because it's a study of people & you'll find that being able to read people & understand where they're coming from will be a big help as a lawyer.
education would be a good field of study too because lawyering requires quite a bit of teaching & educating people.
or if you already knew what kind of lawyer...
