Who is usually put on the field to fight??? is it usually pfc.'s up to staff serg?? i really do not know. what is the job of a master gunnery sergeant or a sergeant major? usually the guys out fighting are combat mos soldiers, like infantry soldiers whos job is to fight and kill the enemy. it can be anyone of any rank, but normally its privates up to staff sgt's who do the real fighting. the squad leaders job is to communicate to his team leaders and higher not actually to fight unless he has to.

What is a non commissioned officer?? what is their job? a commissioned officer is like a lieutenant, captain, etc.. a non commissioned officer is anything above the enlisted rank of e-4, so sgt and above is considered a non commissioned officer. There job depends on what kind of unit they are in and what there MOS is.

The casualties in Mumbai, India would have been much lower had their citizens been allowed to carry concealed firearms and returned fire when the terrorists attacked. there has to be some control because there are to many retards who would shoot someone for almost anything, but i believe as a so called "free" nation we need to be able to have firearms.
