How many people actually wish Jesus a happy birthday on Christmas Day and do you think it would be going to far by baking a cake just for that occassion as oppose to leaving Santa cookies? We have had a birthday cake for Jesus many times. We still leave cookies for Santa, but the cake for Jesus helps the children know (and remind us) the reason for the Season.

If you bake a cake a day ahead, do you put it in the refrigerator or leave it out wrapped in saran wrap? It is not necessary to refrigerate the cake. If it is wrapped in plastic wrap, it's best to just leave it on the counter. Sometimes it can pick up other "smells" from the refrigerator.
