My daughter has a smelly scalp. Her hair is washed every other day. And I have even tried tea tree oil. The hair smells bad (mostly top of head area). I asked the doctor if it was something in her diet (yeast,etc), but no answers. It smells dirty. Since it's been ahwile you've probably already found a cure and/or it's fixed itself. But I just read there's a sulfur soap that takes away the smell. My daughters hair generally smells nice but last night, after showering, it stunk. I was concerned she may have internal issues but come to find out it's likely a fungus. I vaguely recall her havhing this issue...
