If more DVDs are played on the console than PS2 games will the console quit playing games?
No, there is no limit to the number of DVDs or games that console will play. If it isn't playing both, there is something wrong with it.
Answer to:
I have a computer with an older Intel Celeron processor. Is it possible to switch it out and get a faster processor? How hard is it?
It is possible in most cases, but you will need to find out what motherboard you have. Your motherboard, the big circuitboard that everything plugs into, should have a brand name and a model number on it, like Abit BX-7 for example. This will allow you to look at the website of the manufacturer (Abit in this example) and then find the manual for that specific motherboard (the BX-7), where you...

How does power differ between front, mid, and rear engine cars?
The short answer is: it doesn't. The real motivation for changing the engine placement isn't to allow more power, but to change the weight distribution of the car.
For instance, dragsters have the engine mounted as far back as possible because it puts more weight on the rear wheels, thereby increasing the traction of the rear tires.
Cars designed for racing on road courses...

On my GBA (normal, not SP) the screen is very dark. Is this the way it is? Can I change this?
Yes, I'm afraid that's the way it is. The GBA SP has a backlit screen and it much brighter, but the original GBA is not backlit, so it's very dark.
If you want to keep your original GBA, you can add a backlight using the Afterburner kit found here:
http://www.tritonlabs.com/
I would not recommend doing this by hand unless you are good with tools. I believe they will...

How do I connect my PS2's Internet adaptor into my cable wire?
Assuming you have an active Internet connection through your cable, all you need is a "cable modem." The cable modem plugs directly into the coax cable that comes from your wall, and it will have a socket for the ethernet cable coming from your PS2 network adaptor. Usually your cable company will supply you with a cable modem when your cable-based Internet service is activated.
Answer to:
Is it true that it's better to let the phone go dead before you charge it?
Only if your phone uses a nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery. Ni-Cd batteries have a "memory" effect that can occur when charging a battery that is not fully discharged, so it is recommended to dicharge them fully (leave the phone on until it's completely dead.)
Most batteries used in cell phones these days are not Ni-Cd, and don't have this limitation, so you probably...

My controller doesn’t vibrate in my PS2 but when I plug it into another PS2, it works. Is this a problem I can fix myself?
Probably not, but here's one thing to try: borrow another controller, and try it in your PS2. If that controller doesn't vibrate either, there's something wrong with your PS2, or someone turned off the vibration setting for that particular game on your system (check the Options menu to make sure vibration is turned on for your system.)
If you can't get any controller to...

My PS2 is not reading memory cards when they are in. Is it a problem with the cards or the system?
First off, make sure you have the right memory card for the game - PS1 games will require PS1 memory cards even though you're playing on a PS2. If it's a PS2 game, you must have a PS2 memory card - PS1 memory cards won't work with it.
Assuming you've got the right cards for your system, there are two tests you need to perform:
1. Borrow a memory card from a friend...

When playing Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, my PS2 makes a whirring noise and freezes up, but it plays other games just fine. What could be wrong?
It sounds like that particular disc is damaged. If it's new, try taking it back to the store where you bought it - if you have all of the original packaging, they should be willing to give you a new copy of the game.

What is Canada's Boxing Day a celebration of?
The day after Christmas, the Feast of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr, is better known as Boxing Day. The term may come from the opening of church poor boxes that day; maybe from the earthenware boxes with which boy apprentices collected money at the doors of their masters' clients.
Nowadays, we often see, in certain families, gifts (boxes) given to those who provide services...

In detail, what's the difference between a receiver and an amplifier? Do both of them do sound processing? Does a receiver include an amplifier?
A receiver is made up of two devices: a tuner and an amplifier.
The tuner receives radio signals and decodes them for play on your speakers. However, the tuner alone puts out a very low-level signal that is not strong enough to play on your speakers.
So, the signal in a receiver is then fed from the tuner to the amplifier which magnifies the signal so that it will be at a suitable...

The steering wheel is locked and my key won't turn to start my 1990 Ford Ranger. What can I do to get it to work?
Some cars will do this. The solution, funny as it sounds, is just to jiggle the steering wheel back and forth while you try to turn the key. It should eventually allow the key to turn.
Answer to:
What is considered "regular soil"?
I believe "regular soil," as used in one of the questions above, just refers to soil that isn't specifically for potting, i.e. the potting soil you buy in stores. Regular soil would be what you find in your backyard. Potting soil, as sold in stores, is very rich in nutrients and is better for potted plants.

What does it mean to "pierce the corporate veil"?
Actually, this refers to prosecuting individuals within a corporation. Forming a corporation is often a way to protect the founders from personal liability, be it from debts or from lawsuits. However, if the law (SEC, FBI, whatever) is able to prosecute an individual within the corporation for actions they performed on behalf of the corporation, this is called "piercing the corporate...

What is "escape velocity"?
Escape velocity is the launch speed that is necessary for an object launched from the surface of an object (usually a planet) to escape the gravitational pull of that planet.
For the earth, this speed is approximately 11 kilometers per second. That is to say, if you could launch something (a couch for instance) from the surface of the Earth at 11 km/s, it would escape the Earth's...
