Why do many people know everything about their own culture (music, movies, and food), but remain totally ignorant of other cultures? Does this make the world isolated?
because the music and films from there country is pressed onto you so much that, in the end that is all you see as music or films, you become so blinded by say Brit pop that Indian music just seems like rubbish!
But here's a question, how come music from Britain and America sells all over the world but we don't have the respect o listen to ther's?

My daughter (9) and my son (11) both seem to be relatively unpopular at school. They are not 'cool' like their contemporaries, and never seem to be in with the in crowd. Neither of them has a 'best friend' or gets invited to parties. Where did I go wrong?
Just because there not with the in crowed does not mean you went wrong! But if you're kids have a party and invite the other kids then this could start something off :)

What is the meaning of life?
Life has only the meaning you give to it!
for example, for a religious person they may see it as a test in which they get into heaven etc. (not really an expert on religion)
for a business man it may be to make as much money as possible, but for me its to leave my mark in this world! to do something/ create something that will leave me remembered!

1/2 blinds - I have KK pre-flop and raise to 10, a player behind me reraises to 40. I am a bit worried because he is very tight but KK is a big hand so I reraise again to 100, and he goes all-in for 160 - now I am absolutely sure he has AA, what do I do?
call, he probably will have a pocket pair, but its still dangerous as if you or him hit any community cards then it will sway the hand, here's a video link where the guy regretted fold pocket kings :)

have a competition with yourself to see how long you can hold your breath for, then for the amount of time you can hold your breath for do a brain storm of things that would make your day less boring, the last thing you write is your aim for the day! :) even if its something crazy like going to the moon, try building something really tall, or going to the highest place you could possibly get to...

Why do people insist on asking questions they already know the answers to? (e.g. Should I leave my cheating partner?)
People know the answer that they're looking for, you have to think about who they aim the question at!

Is there really such things as good and bad or are these just meanings that we assign to things in order to understand them better?
once again like the good and evil problem it is entirely subjective. someone may think its good to hit there children as they say it teaches them certain aspects of life. others will see it as bad and couldnt imagine hitting a chil. it also depends of the situation.

Answer to:
Does 'love' by its very nature sometimes attract its exact opposite? and why?
i think it may do. as this opposite is what you are lacking in your life. this person may be "the other half" and only as a whole you are a balanced people. but a love for a sport or something obviously isnt. though you will need to share some common intrests or it would be a pointless relationship x

Answer to:
Have you ever wondered why life comes in opposites? Why everything you value is one of a pair of opposites? Why are all decisions between opposites? Why all desires are based on opposites? e.g. up vs down; here vs there; freedom vs bondage; life vs death;
surely not everything is an opposite. for example here vs there are not opposits at all. the decision i make in the morning to which breakfast ceral i eat or i may go for the opption of toast, but whatever i choose its still not an opposite. there are only a few true opposites.
Answer to:
I'm a firm believer that there is no such thing as a set-in-stone "Good" and "Evil". For example, if a man with a mental problem rapes somebody, can you really call them evil? And people who carry out acts of terrorism in the belief they're doing good?
i belive its purely down to the situation, and entirely subjective. if a normal person rapes someone then they may still not see it as evil. but others viewing the situation will, some might not.
