I have heard that deja vu is just misfiring of the brain synapses. I don't know which one to believe. Is it that or is it because we may have been through that particular (or similar) moment before but for some reason our brains deleted any memory of it? The superstition of breaking a mirror while looking into it is that you break your soul. It IS possible to not be looking into it when it is broken, for example, if the wind blows it over in the night and it smashes upside down, (therefore you cannot see your reflection, which by the way would not bring bad luck because it was not your fault it was blown over) then you would not get bad luck....
