any individual can find a niche to fill but the masses can not, our civilization is set up in a way which necessitates most people to perform in common employment roles. my options are not a false dilema, atleast 1 or more of those conditions must exist within our social structure... actually the first option would inherently have a strong dose of the 4th
there is no diety name "the market" which controls wages... executives control wages. the market is merely the environment in which they operate. to say "what the market will bear" defines economic policy is declare economic anarchy. it allows those with financial power to abuse those without financial power. so, which of the following options do you think is the right aproach to creating a fair and just society?

and how do you propose this can be formed? the honor system? everyone do what is economicaly responsible? economic responsibility is less profitable than predatory practices as such those who are destructive to the economy will be the most successful and so the predatory executives will dominate the field as they already do. how do you propose creating an environment where people are not so desperate that they accept slaves wages? (10% of the homeless in DC are full time employed, even slaves are compensated with housing.)

preference among the situations listed. if you have a way to enable other options that is great but until you know how to make is so that none of those 4 options are inevitable which one is preferable.
