Depending on your definition of safe, Frostwire may or may not be a safe site for downloading music. If you are wondering about your chance of getting a virus, no file-sharing sites are 100 percent safe to use. Downloading music without paying for it is illegal for one, which makes it an even bigger risk.
Many search engines give warnings in red letters if a site has impeding danger, such as a virus, spyware or malware. Yahoo! just happens to be one of those, and it has flagged the Frostwire site and sites that offer the free Frostwire download.
The bottom line is that you are taking a huge risk by using Frostwire, which is from the makers of Limewire. "Free" music sharing sites often do come with a price and viruses to your computer may be one of the biggest. Proceed with caution.
