    I don't support the death penalty for a number of reasons. Too many innocent people have been executed and the guilty person is still walking around free to strike again. Also, if you look at the people who are executed they mainly come from a socio-economic group that is living on the edge of society (Hurricane Katrina demonstrated that), it could therefore be argued there is an agenda to expedite criminal cases against people from that group and see a lot of foot dragging in other cases. For those who are found guilty, it only offers an escape route for them, you've given them what they wanted, a get out of jail card even if they leave in a wooden box.
