    I think Abraham Lincoln was the best president of all time. Aside from the Emancipation Proclamation, can you imagine the tremendous pressure he was in when the south seceded from the union? Knowing that thousands of American lives would be lost, he knew that he had to save the union despite the many casualties that would occur.
    In the end, after a great victory, he knew that he had made many vindictive personal enemies in the south. Unfortunately, he gave the ultimate sacrifice by being assasinated by a southern sympathizer and antagonist.

    • And you can thank him on April 15, when income tax day comes around. And it was Grant that settled the Civil War and set black slaves free. Nice try!
