Can you eat the skin of a kiwi fruit?

    Yes you can eat the skin of a kiwifruit, but the advise is not too. When the fruit is harvested and processed for packing, the fruit is not washed, as this will cause the fruit to rot by the time it reaches the markets and stores.

    So the skin will retain pesticide residue from the orchard, unless you buy certified organic that is, believe me, knowing some of the insecticides and fungicides they apply to them whilst growing, I would not bother with the skins. Shame really, as earlier mentioned, it does contain a wealth of vitamins and nutrients, just the nasty spray residue that will do you harm.
