According to Dr. McCoy, Vulcan blood is based on copper (as opposed to iron in human blood), and that is why it is green, This also accounts for Vulcan skin being yellow.

    • Timm Russ (the actor who played Tuvok) has a skin tone too dark to show a yellow tint, but if his skin were lighter, I'm sure they'd use it. Other Vulcans seen onscreen have had a slight olive tint applied.
