Do you usually try to get the first post even though there are usually easier questions that don't yet have good answers?

    Have never thought about that. Is there a logic behind doing that? I usually answer them as I see them and depending on my knowledge of the topic.

    • I joined this site three days ago. Last summer's obsessive website was Slashdot, where it is considered prestigious to have the first post on a thread: http://slashdot.org/~andrewman327/
      I also notice the constantly updating banner about how quickly questions are answered here.
