Nothing in the universe can be absolutely proven. Phenomenon can be observed and experienced, but a truth can only be DISproven. The laws of physics, chemistry, etc have failed to explain the origin of life. Being alive means being able to maintain itself. It's complex. Our technology cannot yet figure out how DNA gets it's instructions to maintain life. Therefore, one cannot prove there IS NOT a God who put it there. [e.g. we can make salt by combining sodium and shloride molecules, but we cannot create an ameoba.] (See Algorithmic Information Theory. But don't use wikipedia's article, because it is incorrect as of 11/20/2009.)
