How could I find out if one of my ancestors converteted to the Jewish faith. Would there be any records kept and would I need to know the area he was living in to find them. The dates would be sometime between 1907 & 1950.

If you know the synagogue where he studied that would be the first place I would look. Converts have to take classes so there would be a record. Call the Rabbi and ask if they have records from that time and ask if you could look or if someone else could look for you. Be sure to compensate them for their time.

    • There is a site called Jewishgen.org that has a tremendous amount of
information. You might want to check it out. I am curious about why your family thought this of your Uncle?
