Good question... I don't think this study has been done (but I wait to be corrected). The brain has been scanned working using an MRI and has revealed much (I'm thinking of mirror neurons in particular) but as far as I'm aware, the scan reveals which portions are firing associated with what we are doing. As IQ is a measure (sic) of intelligence based on how we answer different types of questions, all the scan would show would be which braincells function for question type...not whether the answer was right or wrong....or how quickly which is what IQ represents. So I (provisionally pending actual tests) would say that the answer is: no... IQ refers to accuracy and speed, not location in the brain.
