Do I find it disturbing that God would know who was damned, yet allow billions to be born with no chance of any fate other than eternal suffering?

No, I do not find it disturbing.

My reasoning is thus.

One of the defining attributes of god is omniscience. God knows everything. He knows all that was, all that is, and all that will be. Does that means he loves us less, knowing we are sinners? No.

Imagine that you are a parent. You know one day your child is going to steal cookies from the cookie jar. You know your child will be a thief. You know when you question him about it, he will lie. He will stand there with cookie crumbs all over his face and baldface tell you he didn’t take a cookie. You know this to be true even though you have raised him to tell the truth. Does this mean you love him any less?

Although you know that your child will be a thief and a liar, you brought him into the world. Why? Because, despite being a thief and a liar, you wanted to give him the ability to grow and learn. If you wanted something that would never break your instructions, you would have made a robot, not a child.

God gives us free will. The ability to make choices. His omniscience means he knows all will fail, and some will reject him. His foreknowledge does not abrogate their free will. God wants children, not robots.

If the christian god exists and is truly out of time (therefore can see the future and the past) why does he/it/she allow people who he already knows are going to go to hell be born, isn't that wrong? Wouldn't you rather not exist then be in eternal pain?
