Is it okay to peel off the flat pickguard on acoustic guitars?

    Sure it is. Its only purpose is to keep the guitar from being scratced from pickin. It will most likely damage the finish on the guitar if you do peel it off, then again some come off without damage. Either way the guitar will still play effectively.
