Help answer this question below.
I'm watching this question for an answer from someone with some legal background, or someone who has had some success in a similar situation.
From my experience however, an officer can do just about anything they want, (regardless of the law) without being held accountable.
In those few situations when they DO cross the line (beyond the "just about anything" line)...and commit involuntary manslaughter on a little girl (like one did recently in my neck of the woods), they get "suspended for two weeks with pay".
Where I work, this is called paid vacation.
Does anyone have a link or an address to a great employment attourney in illinois ?
