NC is an "at will" state. Basically meaning that your employer can fire you if you don't do what they say, at will. Or you can quit, at will. Sucks, but it's legal.

You're reading I am a full time employee with agency in NC. The agency is restructuring. I was informed that my pay will be cut by approx. 50% on 7-1-08 and my title will changes, however my duties will remain the same plus added duties. is this legal?

I understand that NC is an "at will".... just do understand how it can be legal for an employer to cut someones pay by 50% and get away with it. Everyone working for the agency is getting a pay cut but I highly doubt anyone's pay was cut as much as mine... mainly because they seemed to be ok after their individual meeting with HR. I doesn't matter if I leave or if I staff cause either way I risk losing all that I have. Thanks for the input though!
