You're reading My daughter has asked to go to drama school, which may involve boarding. Has anyone boarded and was it a good experience? I hate the idea but don't want to put my needs before hers
Comments
Hi confucious, the whole drama school idea is a long shot. We're on a budget and she'd have to win a scholarship. This would mean not having a choice of where to go beyond carefully vetting a school she may be successful in auditioning for. My real hope is to find a normal day school in the area we're moving to later this year, but one that has a strong focus on the arts. I fear boarding school partially out of ignorance and partially because it involves seperation from my child.

You sound like a great parent, it'll work out regardless as she has great support. Good Luck
