The only difference is the terminals, if the marine battery is labeled a starting battery. Some marine batteries claim to be dual purpose, starting and deep-cycle, but they are compromising performance at both.
I have a 1973 Starcraft 15' 2" fishing boat with a 40 hp Johnson motor. The floor is rotten and needs to be replabed in it. How do I remove the old floor? What will I find underneth it? Can I just put new marine wood floor over the old rotten floor?

You're reading Can I use a car starter battery for my boat starter battery, or should it be a marine starter battery? Is there a difference?
