Help answer this question below.

I'm looking for new music. Suggest some awesome, lesser - known bands for me to listen to. All genres welcome.

    I always liked soul music. The music from Arista Records in the 60s and 70s are my favorites. Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Platters, Hal Melvin and the Blue Notes, Marvin Gaye,Sly and the Family Stone are some artists who come to mind. They are not all necessarily on Arista Records but they are some of my favorites. I say Arista because Motown music was a little more R&B than soul and funk. I also like some modern contemporary Christian artists like Third Day, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and News Boys. I hope you can find something in these artists.
