The Holy Spirit came after the death of Jesus. He sent Christ for many reasons. Christ was the ultimate sacrifice, he was without blimish. He also set the example of how we are to live, love, forgive, show mercy, obedience, and faith in the Lord our God. The Holy Spirit is how Christ indwells in his children. The great comforter. We no longer have to sacrifice animals for the atonement of our sins. Jesus had to be a man to die, and God to forgive us.
