Question

I rather dislike these americanised spellcheckers. I used to know how to spell words and it makes me quite unsure of spellings. Does anyone else have this issue?

I set mine to British English, as they should be. If there's no such option, I usually just ignore it.

Hell, I usually ignore it anyway, and I tend to get away with it.

    • Yeah, it's just a little odd. Like in Word, I'll set it to apparently 'AU english' and it will still show up with words like 'colour' being incorrect.

    • Hm. That's odd. I just set mine to English (Australian) right now as a test, and it sees 'colour' as correct and 'color' as incorrect. Perhaps you're setting it incorrectly, or maybe you set it once but it reverts back to American when you close the program?

    • Perhaps that is the case. I shall check.
