Help answer this question below.

My car1993Fiat Tempra1.6S.Timing belt damaged while car running.Upon replacment a knocking sound comes out from the engine when it run.The mechanice did his best to adjust the clearance for camshaft/valves but sound still coming!! what causes/remedy?

    The camshaft end support bearing or bushing could be damaged, have your mechanic check for camshaft radial tolerance, you didn't say if the belt came off, if it came completely off during operation then its possibly valve damage,without listening to it and looking at it myself that's the best I can think of. good luck.
