How many male babies are born in the U.S. every year?

    According to the National Center of Health and Statistics in 2003 there were approximately 2,096,335 male births. Normally there's a few more male births than female births but the population ratio seems to even out due to the higher percentage of male mortality rate. There's also an unexplained (and some what disputed) correlation between war and increased male birth rates.
