Why should i have to pay school taxes if i dont go to school and i have no children in school?

    I just feel as though i shouldnt be responsible to paying for someone elses child to go to school...That is the responsibility of a parent..not myself that has no kids..I dont understand how i am just automaticaly responsible to do so

    • If your parents paid for all of your education then perhaps you're justified. Perhaps you feel it's an unnecessary charity. By that logic then the tax money that's been spent on medical research to cure disease and free vaccinations may have been an unnecessary charity as well, yet there's no doubt it's been for the public good. That's just one example.
