Someone who has not been baptised into the Catholic Church is not supposed to receive the Eucharist. Although no one asks for proof of baptism if someone is receiving Communion, it is looked down on by Catholics, and most would find it offensive.

    • Eastern Orthodox CATHOLICS may receive Holy Communion because they are in communion with Rome. No other denomination can be permitted.

    • Ohhhhhh wow I believe this conversation needs to go to the bible. The bible is the word of God and the word was with God and the word was God(john1 ) So let’s consult the King of Kings brothers and sistas in Christ, lets take our knowledge and foundation from his word.
Here we go  First Communion is taking part in covenant with the Lord Jesus himself. I am a follower of Christ, I go to church a few times a week, worship God everyday and lead a repentant lifestyle with the continual renewing of the mind with the washing or the word ; I am a witness. I was healed by Jesus after 4 hospital visits and close to death encounters; this is how a became a Christian. I was baptized catholic but never knew the Lord. Even though I had taken communion ( The blessed sacrament ) and went through all the steps to become catholic I would have gone to HELL. I would have gone to hell because I did not KNOW CHRIST (Mathew 7:13). This is not to say the Catholic denomination is going to hell, NO... the bible says for a man to have eternal life he must come to the father through the son. He must confess with his MOUTH and believe in his heart that God gave his only son (JESUS ) for the remission of our sins and who so ever believes in him shall have eternal life. (John 3:16 ) To be saved is to be in the beloved to be called his bride ( revelations) it means you live obeying his commands not through your own strength ( this is impossible )but through Jesus; through his holy spirit. It is an infilling from God and out pouring from you” (John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” Even if you Catholic, Baptist Evangelical and non denominational , whatever denomination of Christianity you are if you do not produce fruit “ fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22 ). If we don’t live according to his word, if we don't know christ then the bible says on that day the Lord will say " Depart from me I never knew you" ( Mathew 7:13)

Its not good enough just to be labeled something and do religious ceremony’s WE NEED TO KNOW HIM. If we don’t and then we take communion then this is not good, because communion is a serious partaken. When partaking in communion we are declaring that we love God with all your heart and are partaking in a covenant with him (becoming one with him). If our lifestyle does not reflect Jesus, righteousness but we are declaring we are in relationship with Jesus it could be considered a form blasphemy. If our life is sinful but we say I am in covenant with Jesus it is as if we are saying that Jesus and sin are in covenant ( are one). This is NOT GOD, this is blasphemy of who God is, GOD IS HOLY !
Jesus has died so that we can be reconciled with Christ. The bible says in Romans that one who is of the spirit cannot sin. John reads no man is without sin. What does this mean? It means, we as Christians need to live a life of glory to glory, " The hope of glory " becoming like Christ ! When we sin repent ( fully CHANGE your ways and allow God to fill you ( being filled by the spirit, iin Christ or in his spirit there is no sin) and God will help us do that sin no more. God said he left us to return home (heaven) to sit at the right hand side of the father so that he could leave the holy spirit as our helper.( 26"But the (I)Helper, the Holy Spirit, (J)whom the Father will send in My name, (K)He will teach you all things, and (L)bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14:26)
We need to allow God to reconcile us with Holiness)
Before we take communion we need to search your heart, are we in relationship Christ and have we repented, are we right with God.
Christianity is not a denomination, it is not just saying a pray it is BECOMING THE SPOTLESS BRIDE OF CHRIST. It is BECOMING LIKE CHRIST!!!!! You should reflect his image!!!! Ask yourself these questions.
