Every time my ex girlfriend texts me about something she says she hopes im doing ok.She is 49 years old.Why does she even care how im doing.

Have you broken up? If you were broken up I could see that being an appropriate question to ask, however if not she should really be asking how are you doing? Maybe she means this but doesn't know how to say it...
