Help answer this question below.
While filmschool will teach you a lot of THEORY and some "nuts & bolts" to make a movie, know that most schools do not prepare students for a real life in the professional film industry. A degree will NOT guarantee you a job in the business. It can help if you are interested in an Executive position at a studio, however the film degree won't do it. You'll be more attractive with a Business, Legal, or Accounting background.
There is no single way to "get into" the movie business. The best way, though, is to learn how the industry actually works and then with that knowledge, you can then find a way in that works best for YOU. Work at every level comes as a result of networking... who you know and who knows you and what you're capable of. And it is true that MANY MANY more people work "below the line" so your chances of making a living in the industry are better if you are not interested in one of the "sexy" jobs, like directing and acting.
The book linked to below will help you learn what everyone on actual professional film sets go through to get to that point. For the most comprehensive WORLDWIDE list of filmschools available anywhere, go to http://www.whatireallywanttodo.com/ and click on the "filmschools" link at the top.
If you don't find the success you want in "Hollywood," production experience of some kind can be used in smaller markets to produce all sorts of projects for corporate or industrial use.
Good luck!

You're reading I'd like to go to film school and study movies. What kind of jobs can I get with a degree in film if I don't make it in Hollywood?
