What causes some people to have bad gas when they eat sugar?

    Here's what it looks like:

    The methane, butane, and other gases in the gas are all hydrocarbons (made of carbon (C) with large ratios of hydrogen (H)).

    Sugar is C6 H12 O6
    We therefore take in large amounts of Carbon, and double the Hydrogen as the carbon.

    It seems to me that we are providing all of the ingredients needed for a most unpleasant recipe.
