The myth of Hitler's Pope was begun by the play "The Deputy" (1963) by German playwright Rolf Hochhuth. That's when the slander of Pope Pius XII began. Popes have denounced and condemned Marxism, socialism and other "ism's" in encyclicals (official documents) which are available online for anyone to read. Really, a little research would have prevented some of the ridiculous statements I've read here about the Catholic Church.

If the photo is of Pius XII: "In fact the Pope never met Hitler, and when Hitler visited Rome in 1938, Pius very publicly snubbed the Nazis by leaving for Castel Gandolfo." Quoted from "The Myth of Hitler's Pope" by Rabbi David G. Dalin.
