Help answer this question below.

When stopping at signal, should we put the car on neutral, or should we just leave it on "D"gear and apply the brake (if it is automatic transmission)?

    The traffic light is only a short break, it will only be practical to just leave it on "D" and apply the brake pad.

    • The engine will still be on drive mode ,however since the accelerator is not in use, the draft will not be that powerful; but close enough as though the vehicle is in an idling mode/neutral. This however wont stress the engine.I have been using Auto transmission car for the past 15 years and never had I encountered problem on the engine.Well, again there is nothing wrong putting the lever to N if you desire ,however it will take a difference of a few seconds less if you maintain on the D mode mentioned.
