I have a 401K through my job with a balance around 200K. My wife and I are debt free except for a 180K mortgage. I am considering halting contributuions to the 401K and putting those $$ on the mortgage. I understand the tax impact. Smart move?

    yes' then stay debt free'

    • That is horrible advice. With a properly invest 401k, in the long run he will have more money saved AND be debt free in the end by investing the money.
