    Come on, folks!

"Islam" is no more a terrorist organization than any other mainstream religious belief.

The actions of a few (or even a great many) people of Islamic faith as represented by the historically recent national and international terrorist events is NOT any more representative of Islam than the actions of, say the Conquistadors or the actions taken during the Inquisition are representitive of the Christian faith.

Actions taken by individuals and governments which use religious tenets to promote personal or political gains are just that. They are as contrary to the fundamentals of Islam as they are to the fundamentals of Christianity.

    • I don't understand what you're trying to say, Anonymous. As far as I can tell, you are stating more specific examples similar to the one I used of the Conquistadors versus the Christian faith.
      .
Don't confuse the actions of bigots, racists and terrorists as being representative of a given faith, unless the tenets of the faith itself are grounded in such philosophies. MANY people use religion or religious beliefs to JUSTIFY their own agendas. Those who seek to exert power and control over others will use whatever means at their disposal to justify it to the masses. Including misrepresentation of many religious faiths. That’s NOT the way it’s supposed to work.

    • If one were part of an organization which claimed to be Christian and advocated the killing of people who did not convert to Christianity, or bombing abortion centers, or blowing up buildings, or hanging people because they are black, or rounding up Jews by the millions and putting them to death simply because they are Jewish, or stealing the gold, silver, and precious stones of a civilization and exterminating them in the process, or advocating the rape of women, then I would have to say that that person, and the organization they are part of, does NOT represent the Christian faith. What about the Ten Commandments? How does their claim to Christianity hold up to the fact that they are simply ignoring things like “Thou shalt not steal” or “Thou shalt not kill’? Or Jesus’ command to love one another as he loved us?
      .
CLAIMING to be Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, or whatever else does NOT mean that you accurately represent the Christian, Muslim, Buddhist (etc.) faiths. You have to live by the tenets of the faith to do this.
      .
One who claims to be Christian is saying that he believes and follows Jesus Christ’s teachings and the scriptures put forth in the Christian Bible. If he does not, then he’s a liar.

    • Throughout history, you will find many examples of people and governments who acted heinously in the name of one faith or another. They twisted whatever they needed to suit their own ends. Does that make them righteous, holy, or pious? Or does that make them a bunch of lying sacks of sh*t out for power and greed?
      .
I do NOT blame the Christian or Muslim faiths (or most of the others out there either) for all those heinous actions. I blame the greedy, selfish, power hungry b*stards who twisted these things to suit their own ugly desires.

    • You said: "Still think that Islam teach terror?...or any Christian never be a terrorist?"
      .
I NEVER stated that at all. Please re-read my original answer. I very specifically stated that Islam is NO MORE A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION THAN ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM RELIGIOUS FAITH. I'm saying ISLAM is NOT a terrorist organization.
      .
And I also very specifically cited two historical events involving the Conquistadors and the Inquisition as using the Christian faith to justify their own acts atrocities as a counterpoint to those who would claim Islam is a terrorist organization.

    • Adolf Hitler, Timothy McVeigh, Ku Klux Klan members may all CLAIM to be (or to have been) followers of Christ. But when you shine the light of reason on this, it simply doesn't hold up. They are all a bunch of individuals out to exert power over others for their own ends.
      .
I don't have a problem with Muslims. I have a problem with a few who conduct terrorist activities and falsely justify it through Islam.
      .
I don't have a problem with Christians. I have a problem with a few who conduct their own terrorist activities and falsely justify it through Christianity.
      .
I don't have a problem with Athiests, Buddhists, Taoists, Wiccans, and more who commit their own acts of atrocities and falsely justify it by their own faith systems.
      .
      Get the picture?
