How can you tell if a long distance, long-term, online relationship is serious or just fueled by mystery?

    My fiance and I were long distance for almost 8 months. We would go sometimes 7 months without seeing each other. There were times that it was very hard - just like all other relationships. Many of times you can realize that bonds are stronger when you are far apart. About faithfulness, that comes down to what type of person you are getting serious. I have never once questioned the faithfulness of my fiance because she does not have the desire to relieve the " sexual tension" like many will say. If you have the right things fueling the relationship then it will not fail. Basing a relationship on mystery was doomed from the get go. If you are looking for somebody to spend the rest of your life with and not somebody to just cure the loneliness then you are off to a better start. The best fuel to keep a relationship going and alive is to have Jesus Christ as the center of the relationship. This will give you the strength and most importantly patience to stand against the long distance and "paranoia". It also lets you know that if he/she does cheat then it wasnt ment to be and there is reason for that happening. It is the assurance that you need and should be the basis of all relationships, whether it be with a significant other, a friend, or family member. You just cant go wrong this way. Get the right fuel and it is full steam ahead.

    Also try not looking for it, it will find you in due time.
