Now I will post a SERIOUS answer.

I believe in the "millions of years".
I am also rather perplexed as you seem to have made a HUGE (pseudo)logical leap from "Evolution is wrong" to "GOD IS REAL!".
By your "logic", because I do not drive a Ford, I MUST drive a Chevy. A 4WD, Boxer-engined Chevy with a Pleiades cluster for a grill insignia. Or lets put it in computer terms; my friends computer is not a Mac, so he MUST be running Windows.
Just as Subarus and Linux exist, there also exist possibilities other than the one that you denounce and the one that you promote.

I want to see what you think of this; the Theory of Evolution is wrong, at least as written. Our understanding of the nature of the Universe and of life is flawed. Additionally, nothing causes itself.
These two facts infer the existence of an unknown entity on a higher plane of existence that created an intricate "mechanism" that we call "reality", and also designed in the eventuality of life and the ability for said life to adapt to it's environment and to lose less-fit members, ensuring that the next generation would be ever so slightly better than the previous one, eventually evolving, but not in the ways that Darwin and his successors/disciples thought/think.

In short, intelligent design with the basics of Darwinism but not the flawed details that have been crufted onto the basic theory since it's conception.

    • Well, I hate to say it, Jerk, but you STILL have not given me a serious answer on this topic of 1000000's yrs and Young earth controversy!!
      You have not explained yourself.
In fact, not a one of you have really well-answered the actual Q.
Did any of you pass at High school??!!
You all seem so busy trying to defend your precious Evolution, simply because it protects you against God-belief, and you all sense that this Snake discovery carries genuine power to destroy your precious protection, that you have left the exam paper Wide open for any examiner to fail you all miserably!
I have given you all PARAGRAPHS of ideas - some may call it, "nonsense" - be that as you will [to me, my ideas on this Q are only theory], but I have given them to you nevertheless.
But except for miserable 2 liners; where are your concrete work on this Q??
LOST - in defending an entirely different issue!!

    • Oh my. You have NEVER looked in the mirror, have you?
      .
First off, You asked where I stood; I answered, "I believe in the "millions of years". If one parses your question, nowhere in there did you ask us to actually expand on that.
Secondly, you asked for our thoughts yet denigrate all thoughts that are not the answer you are looking for.
Third, you TOTALLY missed the part where I explained that I don't (entirely) believe in Evolution! If you can't pick up on even the part of my answer where I agree with you, then I must wonder if YOU passed High School.
      Wait.
To get to High School , one must first pass the 3rd grade; something that you seem never to have achieved, at least not whenit comes to Verbal Comprehension.

    • Deni, you approach all problems with the assumption that you are smart, and anyone who disagrees with you is stupid. Think about this. Is everyone except you really stupid? Or are you misunderstanding their arguments?

Is your argument really that well informed, or is it all from your head? There are many people who have spent their entire lives debating this very topic. People have been debating the topic of religion versus science ever since the written word was invented. Have you bothered to try to learn from their experience? There are many people who believe in God and also believe in evolution, what do you think about that?

    • Also, I'd like to add that you didn't even read the wikipedia article of evolution. That's the least you could do.
Do you even know how things are scientifically proven and disproven? They scientific method is a long process.

    • And speaking for those that don't need proof.

In the words of Douglas Adams in The Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy

"'I refuse to prove that I exist,' says God, 'for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.'"

It is the faith even though there is no proof which makes religion so great.
