I don't think adopting from another country is wrong, my (single) aunt recently adopted my cousin from China and I think it's great. But I do question why one would go through the time, trouble, and money to adopt outside their homeland when there are kids here who need to be adopted. I recognize that in some countries conditions are worse and there are more children in need, but I would try to exhaust local options before going to extremes (this would be out of selfish reasons, to make it easier to adopt).
