You know what keithold? Although I live in a very snowy climate in winter, I have never skied before in my life. I do, however, speedskate whenever I can in winter, and of course I swim all year round. :)
Is skiing on manufactured snow as pleasurable as skiing on the real deal? Any difference in feel or is the experience the same?

Outdoors. I have a real speedskater's uniform, you know, that form-fitting, Spandex outfit that makes me look like Spiderman, and speedskating skates. I slip them on and drive to a large oval rink by a river in the winter. I usually go early in the morning, when there's often no one there.
