You're reading I know that being a convicted felon, I can't own or posses a firearm, but would't it be violating my wife's rights to deny her to have a firearm when she has not been into any kind of trouble?

your wife can have a firearm in the house as long as it is in a safe that you don't have the combination to. I checked this out very well when i was released from federal prison in 1997.

You are incorrectly thinking that the right to bear arms is a "right". It's not, it's a privilege. You can revoke a privilege, but a right, by definition, can not be revoked. Once we as a nation allowed the government to treat rights as "privileges", we lost all rights.
